Former AKB48 Atsuko Maeda will appear in Nomitori Samurai movie

​The former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko will appear in the movie ‘Nomitori Samurai [の み と り 侍]’.

This movie is adapted from a short fictional piece by Komatsu Shigeo entitled ‘Nomitori Samurai [蚤 と り 侍]’ and was filmed by director Tsuruhashi Yasuo.

The film will take the set in the Edo period. Veteran actor Abe Hirsohi will be the main character of this film and plays a Samurai named Kobayashi Hiroyuki.

In this film, Maeda will play Ochie, the wife of Seibei played by Toyokawa Etsushi.

In addition to Abe, Maeda and Toyokawa, the film will also starring Terajima Shinobu, Saito Takumi, Katsura Bunshi, Otake Shinobu and Kazama Morio.

The filming process has begun and is scheduled to be released in Japan in 2018.
